Winter is upon us and it's a quiet time for concerts, especially in my little world, but there is a very special event coming up in Byron next Saturday - Sufi Qawwali Music and Dance Party with Tahir Faridi Qawwal and Ensemble. Tahir is a fantastic performer and has assembled a bunch of great musicians including many coming up from Sydney especially for this concert. He will be heading to USA for the northern summer soon so don't miss out. Event flier below...
Brisbane's Sitar Restaurant franchise are celebrating their 20th anniversary this week and I will be taking part in the celebrations with performances at their original Albion restaurant this weekend with sitarist Sudha Manian. We'll be playing from 7pm to 830pm, Friday to Sunday.
