Since I last wrote at the beginning of the year, I've had a rewarding month with my family in Varanasi, where I among other experiences I took a 4 day workshop with tabla maestro Taalyogi Pt Suresh Talwalkar. I'm looking forward to incorporating some great new material into my repertoire!
Coming up this Saturday in Clayfield I'll be accompanying Radha Bornstein for some beautiful original devotional music. This time we'll be joined by special guest vocalist Menaka Visvanathan, who sings some amazing harmonies with Radha's songs, as well as improvising in a gorgeous Indian classical style. I think this combination is really going to blow some minds. We'll also be performing on the Sunshine Coast later in the month.
Coming up: Bart Stenhouse, Toothfaeries and Tibet2Timbuk2, then a little Japan trip for the Flindell family.
