The Art of Rhythm Tabla Workshops
These evenings of music in November and December, will feature the genius of Steve Oda on sarode and the inspired tabla playing of Ty Burhoe. The sarode is one of the shining stars of Indian classical instruments. Steve's deep knowledge of the tradition and his creative, joyous expression bring the ancient yogic states of meditation into contact with the intensity of modern life. The tabla is considered one of the most complex instruments on the planet and is capable of producing an amazingly sophisticated and melodious voice. Ty's playful and expressive playing style invites the listener to "let go", and come into rhythm with the heart. In addition, Ty will be offering The Art of Rhythm Tabla workshops.
