Apr 11/12 West End - African Drum/Dance Courses start

African Drumming and Dance Courses:
* 6 week beginners drum course
* 6 week dance course
* 6 week intermediate drum course

In each of these courses the last class will be taught by Guinean master drummer and dancer Mohamed Bangoura (aka BK). This is included in the course cost. People are welcome to join in just for the last class with BK as a casual. The cost, if attending casually, will be $25, or $20/class if attending more than one.

6 week beginners drum course

6 x 1&1/2 hour classes.
Wed nights April 11th, 18th & 25th, May 2nd, 9th & 16th.

7pm to 8.30pm.

AHIMSA house, 26 Horan St. West End.

Cost is $110 for the course or $20 casually.
Drums are available for sale and hire.

6 week dance course

6 x 1&1/2 hour classes.
Wed nights April 11th, 18th & 25th, May 2nd, 9th & 16th.

8.30pm – 10pm.

Cost is $110 for the course or $20 casually.
If also participating in the drumming course the cost is $160 or $30 casually.

5 week intermediate drum course

These classes are open to drummers with significant experience in African drumming, particularly on the djembe. Ability to play a clear tone and slap is a must.

6 x 2 hour classes.
Thu nights April 12th, 19th & 26th, May 3rd, 10th and 17th.

7.30pm – 9.30pm
