THE MUSIC
Rooted in traditional Sikh music, Dya Singh has managed to create a fusion with music from other parts of the world. His unique music embraces virtually all forms including blues, jazz, folk, country and western, Australian indigenous and bush. Instrumental influences include the Vietnamese zither (dang thranh), southern European gypsy violin, European flute, Polish dulcimer, blues and electric guitar, bouzouki, didgeridoo, Nepalese drums and Tabla, Irish bohdran and the Irish fiddle.
Encompassing universal themes of love, peace, harmony, equality and justice, Dya's world music is spiritual, uplifting and transcends racial boundaries.
