Here you go folks! The details for the next bunch of drumming and dance classes!

• Drum and Dance course
• Intermediate drum course
• Beginner drum course
• Intermediate/Advanced drum course with Lansana Camara

• Drum and Dance course with Josie and Elliott

In Africa drumming and dance are ONE, the rhythm and movement inseparable, the one mirrored in the other. These classes are dedicated to understanding this connection. Half of each class focuses upon the drumming & the other upon the dance, as the rhythm continues. Participants are encouraged to learn both or may choose to focus on either side of this union.

Wed nights March 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and April 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.

Culminates in a performance at the April Pulse on Saturday 29th.
Venue: AHIMSA house, 26 Horan St. West End.

Time: 7pm - 9.30pm
Cost: $140 for the course.

• Intermediate drumming class with Elliott

This is appropriate for drummers who have got a good handle on pulling a clear tone and slap from a djembe.

6 week course

6 x 2 hour classes over March and April.
Thu nights Mar 2nd, 16th and 23rd and April 6th, 20th and 27th. Culminates in a performance at the April Pulse on Saturday 29th.
Venue: St. Andrews Church Hall, cnr Vulture St. and Cordelia St, South Brisbane.

Time: 7.30pm to 10pm.
Cost: $105 for the course.

• Beginner drum course

4 week course

These classes are open to all drummers, or would-be drummers. No experience in African drumming necessary, as technique will be covered and traditional African rhythms taught.

4 x 2 hour classes over March/April.
Fri nights March 3rd and 17th, and April 7th and 21st.

Culminates in a performance at the April Pulse on Saturday the 29th.

Venue: March 3rd and April 7th St. Andrews Church Hall (corner Vulture and Cordelia St's South Brisbane) and March 17th and April 21st (Ahimsa House, 26 Horan St West End).

Time: 7pm - 9.30pm.
Cost: $70 for the course.

• Intermediate/Advanced drum course with Lansana Camara

5 Week course

For those of you yet to witness the awesome power and wicked grooves of Lansana Camara (Sana for short), here is your chance. But more than just to witness Sana's rhythm here is an opportunity to join with him in a workshop setting.

This course is specifically dedicated to taking intermediate and advanced drummers to the next level. I'd be there but I've got my own class to teach!!

Venue: Jaggera Arts Centre, Coredelia St South Brisbnae

Time: 7.30pm - 9.30pm.

Cost is $125 for the course or $30 per class.
