To celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th, the Worldly Women collective are putting on a special concert at the Maleny Community Centre. The concert will feature Brisbane singers Leah Cotterell, Anje West and Alison St Ledger performing individually as well as with acapella trio Rosa Canina (more info below). They will be supported by a funky 4 piece backing band including Jamie Clark (guitar), Andrew Shaw (double bass), Kym Ambrose (kit and vibes) and Elliott Orr (percussion).

Local talent including Skadi, The Sweet Chilli Choir and MTC Cronin will also perform.

Mukti Lloyd, creator of the Mukti Botanicals range is sponsoring the concert and a selection of her beautiful products will be given away as a door prize on the night.

It is strongly advised that you pre-book as tickets are selling fast. And, if you book before Feb 28th you will automatically go into the draw to win $50 worth of Mukti's products.

Rosa Canina...
Alison St Ledger, Anje West & Leah Cotterell unite their brilliant, beautiful, unique voices in a spirited acapella exploration of classic, popular & folk songs. For three years, these loved local performers have been harmonizing everyone from The Beatles to Nick Cave. They have also taken their show on a national Music Aviva school tour.

Leah Cotterell...
The legendary Leah Cotterell has a voice that could sing you the shopping list and still melt your heart! Leah will be presenting a set of bluegrass classics and traditional Irish songs along with some original songs she has written with guitar wizard Jamie Clark.

Anje West...
Anje West is known as one of Australia's finest performers of Brazilian music and will present pieces from Bahia as well as some joyous samba songs from Rio de Janeiro.

Alison St Ledger...
Alison St Ledger is celebrated around the country for her distinct and expressive style in many musical genres. She will performing a little gospel, a bit of folk, a touch of boogie woogie and some French cabaret thrown in for good measure!

With such awesomely powerful voices, Alison, Leah and Anje will show just why they have gained such formidable reputations in the performing arts
