This Friday 9 September 2005 at 8.00pm BEMAC presents Cultivart 'Ragas' ‘A
night of Indian classical songs, sitar and tabla from North India’ - an
event not to be missed!!!
Cultivart ‘Ragas’ brings together an array of gifted local musicians: Mrs
Shrabani Choudhury is a talented Indian female sitar player who has
performed broadly in India and Australia; Mr Dheeraj Shrestha is one of
Australia's leading tabla percussionists also recognised as the foremost
Indian classical tabla player in Australia. They are joined by guest
artist, Mr Huib Schippers. Mr Schippers belongs to the first generation of
western sitar players to perform in India. Also featuring Nisha Rao, she is
presenting a range of devotional, classical and semi classical pieces based
on ragas from North Indian Music. She is accompanied by Mr Rahim Zullah on
harmonium and Mr Alpesh Vaitha on Tabla.

See attached flyer and please be aware that 'Ragas' is now to be held at
Yungaba, Room 1 (instead of BEMAC venue) same address, 120 Main Street,
Kangaroo Point.
Room 1 is at the back of the main building. You can park at the entrance and
follow the path around the main building, Room 1 is at the right side.
