Rahim Zullah is a well-known local artist who has performed a number of solo and group concerts throughout Australia and abroad. His workshop will include the basic principles of Indian music:
1.- The Notation system
2.- Voice training –to achieve ‘organised sound’
3.- Octave – an octave spans an interval of 8 notes
4.- Indian rhythms and their divisions
5.- Raaga developments
6.- Discussion on Solfagio - 7 ascending notes of a scale similar to the Western system.
7.- Demonstration of some popular raagas as melodies
8.- Glossary of Indian Music terms
9.- General discussions
